Tessa Sutton is a visual artist, certified arts educator and arts administrator who teaches art at The Bronx High School of Science, starting in Sept. 2023. She has exhibited in the U.S. and some internationally.  After attending artist residencies in Italy and South Africa, she received her MFA from the California College of the Arts in Painting and Drawing in 2006 and a BA in History from Grinnell College, reflecting her interests in interdisciplinary studies. Her education credential is from the College of Education, University of Iowa.  

She has worked at Cooper Union, Pratt Institute and the California College of the Arts in higher education arts administration. In addition to working in colleges, she has taught art in a museum, as a private tutor, a teaching artist in public schools and a women's correctional facility.
